Homecoming to Remember: Gunesh Bharathiya Returns to Alma Mater Alva’s, Offers 11 Students Instant Employment
Founder Chairman’s visit to Alva’s Pragati 2026 turns into a celebration of roots, gratitude, and opportunity.

For Mr. Gunesh Bharathiya, Founder Chairman of Gunesh Bharathiya Foundation, the conclusion of Alva’s Pragati 2026 on the evening of August 8, 2026, was more than a business milestone — it was a homecoming. Mr. Gunesh Bharathiya is an alumnus of Alva’s Education Foundation, having pursued his pre-university and degree studies at the institution before going on to found Gunesh Bharathiya Foundation.
Returning to Alva’s as a recruiting organisation at India’s largest placement drive, Gunesh Bharathiya Foundation extended 11 on-spot appointment letters and shortlisted 25 additional candidates, one of the most notable outcomes of this year’s edition of the drive.
The appointment letters were handed over to all eleven candidates by Mr. Gunesh Bharathiya himself, accompanied by Ms. Sri Anagha KR, of the Foundation’s Advisory Council. Faculty members and deans from Alva’s pre-university and degree colleges, together with Honourable Chairperson Dr. Mohan Alva and Managing Trustee Mr. Vivek Alva, welcomed the moment with visible pride and warmth, calling it a fitting homecoming for one of the institution’s own.
The gesture stands as a reminder of how alumni can give back to the institutions that shaped them, and Gunesh Bharathiya Foundation says it looks forward to deepening this relationship in the years ahead.
