Anna University list ready… even 50 marks can be bought… engineering colleges in trouble!

According to sources, around 100 engineering colleges are in serious difficulties as a result of the new approach for remaining as associated institutions with Anna University. In the current academic year, they are unable to function as fully affiliated colleges.

Anna University is regarded as one of the best in the country. It is the headquarters of engineering institutes in Tamil Nadu and is named for previous Chief Minister Annadurai. Any newly established college should be registered as an Anna University associated college. There are certain guidelines to follow. This has now been corrected.

Engineering colleges can affirm their affiliation under the new standards beginning with the academic year 2023-24. This is when things become complicated. Several colleges are not included under Anna University’s standards. Let’s take a closer look. In the current academic year, Anna University has implemented a new system to assure the quality of its associated colleges.

  • Marks Notification

As a result, 5 points if the principal is competent. If there are enough professors and lecturers, the grade will be 40. Labs are worth 15 points. If there is a library, you get 5 points. 5 points for adequate classrooms and buildings. All of the above 70 points are earned by direct examination. The remaining 30 points will be awarded based on merit.

Exempted Colleges

In this regard, 486 colleges have applied to continue their affiliation with Anna University for the current academic year. It has engineering, MBA, and architecture institutions. 49 of them are excluded from direct examination. institutions in the top 200 of the NIRF ranking, institutions with more than 60% undergraduate departments recognized by NBA, and colleges with more than 80% enrolment in the past four years are immune from direct inspection.

  • 50 colleges with no grades

437 is under Direct Inspection. More than 50 points in Anna University standards 341. 96 points out of a possible 50. Colleges with low rankings appear to be in the poorest shape in six areas, including the principal, instructors, library, classrooms, and student entrance.

These 96 colleges will be given a specific period to address their grievances. If not fixed by then the connection will be cancelled. Immediately the students belonging to that college will be transferred to another college. Meanwhile, another problem has arisen.

  • Consultation issue

Typically, the scores received by institutions are released prior to the examination. They will be permitted to participate in the consultation only if their issues are quickly resolved. The current year engineering college marks have been issued a little late. As a result, it is worth mentioning that the colleges with fewer than 50 points are eager to engage in the consultation.
