IIT Madras is in first place, while IISc Bengaluru is deemed the finest university by NIRF 2023.

IIT Madras continued to hold the top position among engineering schools for an unprecedented eight years. IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay are placed second and third in the category, respectively.

On June 5, the Union Ministry of Education released the 2023 National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings.

In terms of total rankings, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras is the top university. IIT Delhi and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), both in Bengaluru, tied for second place in the “overall” category.

IIT Madras continued to hold the top position among engineering schools for an unprecedented eight years. IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay have received the second and third spots in the category, respectively.

Presidency College in Chennai came in second place, followed by Miranda House and Hindu College of Delhi University.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad has been rated as the best management college, followed by IIM Bangalore and IIM Kozhikode.

The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Hyderabad, has received the top spot in pharmacy. The rankings feature Jamia Hamdard and BITS Pilani in second and third place, respectively.

The top medical school is All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi, while the top dental school is Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences in Chennai.

Similar to other fields, law has a ranking that includes the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru, National Law University, Delhi, and NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad.
