Peace, Service and Leadership Celebrated at International Buddha Peace Award in Kolkata
Kolkata, June 12: The city of Kolkata witnessed a prestigious gathering as the International Buddha Peace Award 2026 was organized by the Maitry Peace Foundation at Rabindra Tirtha. The grand event recognized outstanding individuals for their contributions to society and promoted the universal values of peace, compassion, and human dignity.
The ceremony was attended by distinguished dignitaries, social reformers, educationists, business leaders, healthcare professionals, and cultural personalities. Award recipients were honoured for their remarkable achievements and dedicated service in various fields, including social welfare, education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, and community development.
A special felicitation segment was held to honour Hon’ble Minister Shri Dilip Ghosh and several newly elected MLAs for their commitment to public service and their efforts towards the development of society. The dignitaries were presented with commemorative mementos and received a warm welcome from the organizers and guests.
The programme was conducted under the leadership of Surajit Barua, President of the Maitry Peace Foundation, who reiterated the Foundation’s commitment to promoting peace, social harmony, humanitarian values, and community welfare through meaningful initiatives and public recognition programmes.
